On October 2, the Doha-based airline will launch its sixth route in Saudi Arabia, Ta'if. The airline currently flies to Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Qassim, and Riyadh.SHUROOQ, SEAWINGS LAUNCH NEW SEAPLANE SERVICE IN SHARJAH: The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), in association with seaplane operator, Seawings, has announced the launch of a new seaplane service from the emirate, Gulf News has reported. The new service aims to provide a new tourism attraction and a business solution for those who require the service in the city. The sightseeing option which is called Heritage Arabia is a 30-minute tour that will depart from the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and fly over popular tourist attractions in Dubai and Sharjah.EGYPTAIR EYES 125-AIRCRAFT FLEET BY 2025: Egypt's civil aviation minister, Abdel Aziz Fadel has said the government plans to expand and upgrade the fleet of EgyptAir, w迷利倉ich is still suffering losses, despite recording a rise in revenues to a total of EGP20.7bn during the 2012/13 fiscal year, compared with EGP12.7bn a year earlier, Daily News Egypt has reported. "The ministry seeks to renovate and expand the EgyptAir fleet, increasing its total number of aircraft to 81," said Fadel. "The company currently possesses 17 older model aircraft, which it hopes to exchange for newer models within the coming months," the minister said. The ministry seeks to increase the size of EgyptAir's fleet to 120 aircraft by 2025, and 150 by 2050, he said.BRITISH AIRWAYS TO DEPLOY FOUR-CLASS B777 ON JEDDAH ROUTE: British Airways has announced it is to introduce a four-class Boeing 777 aircraft from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from March 31, 2014, Saudi Gazette has reported. The upgrade will offer customers from Jeddah the carrier's award-winning First class cabin and latest Club World cabin, with an increase in over 250 seats each week to London Heathrow's Terminal 5.
