Teen driver at the wheel in New Year's Eve crash

Source: Valley Morning Star, Harlingen, TexasJan.自存倉 04--HARLINGEN -- A 16-year-old boy was driving the red Ford F250 truck involved in a New Year's Eve accident with a City of Harlingen dump truck that left three passengers dead and four others hospitalized, according to police documents.The accident occurred on Dec. 31 about 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Haine Drive and FM 509, documents show.Miguel Angel Giron Sr., 47, David Giron, 14, both of California, and Raphael Antonio Romero, 42, of Georgia, all of whom were listed as passengers of the F250, were found dead at the scene, documents show.Rudery Marcia, 34, a 2-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were all taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment, documents show. Hospital officials said the three were treated and released.The driver of the City of Harlingen dump truck, Roberto De La Rosa, 54, was listed in good condition, according to Valley Baptist officials.The 16-year-old boy is listed as the driver of the Ford F250 in police documents.Police said they are continuing to reconstruct the accident and expect the investigation to be completed next week.However, they said the accident reconstruction indicates that t迷你倉出租e red Ford F250 collided with the city dump truck after the Ford F250 failed to yield right of way and tried to make a left turn onto Haine Drive from FM 509, causing the collision."We are reviewing the diagrams recreated by our accident reconstruction specialists," HPD Sgt. Dave Osborne said."We actually had called in the Texas Department of Public Safety primarily because it was a City of Harlingen vehicle involved in a massive accident and we wanted to make sure that in the event that there was any question regarding the integrity of the case," Osborne said."The state troopers were there helping us out and speaking with our accident reconstruction guys, and they were all on the same page.
